Business Overview
Our customer approached us looking for a logo for a flooring company in Brighton. This customer was Potts and Ward, Woodcocks who are a well-known flooring supplier. They already had a logo but felt they needed a new, more up-to-date logo to reflect their business. As well a looking for a new logo, Potts, Ward and Woodcocks needed some new business cards printing with the new branding, alongside a new letterhead template.

Logo For a Flooring Company
When we were asked to create a logo for a flooring company in Brighton, it was important that we kept elements of the lion in the logo. The reason being was that Potts, Ward and Woodcocks had always had a lion in their logo due to being based in ‘The Lion Buildings’. Therefore, the lion had become part of their branding and identity. We decided to create a lion out of a mosaic design to symbolise the process of laying wooden flooring.
Business Cards
In order to make a lasting impression on Potts and Ward Woodcocks’ potential customers, we designed the business card to be printed with the Scodixing effect. This is where certain areas of the business card are raised and glossy. In this case, we designed the lion logo to be in Scodixing and the rest of the business card was a soft-touch effect. This creates a nice contrast between the feel of the two effects, leaving a high-quality end product.Letterhead
In order to ensure all their communications remained on-brand, Potts and Ward Woodcocks requested that we created them a letterhead template. We designed a professional letterhead with all the required information and ensured it reflected the same branding as the logo and the business cards.
